Eorzea’s resident goth candlemaker turned warrior of light: Vess Illume was accomplished in the candle making trade prior to becoming an adventurer and was largely content for things to stay that way, he was even set to take over the family candle making business.Even with the family business to tend to life in village was nonetheless uneventful. Letting his mind wander to pass the time, Vess was left recalling family stories of ul’dah and of the families longstanding aspirations and ambitions to sell their wares in such a city, and of yet again trying to make sense of his recently developed strange and reoccurring dreams to little success (later discovered be the echo beginning to awaken within), all eventually leaving them with a burning curiosity and the question: what is the wider world truly like?After much restlessness, hesitation, and back and forth, they finally resolved to leave the village. Coordinating with family and making preparations, they set off for ul’dah, he and his family assuming it would be a relatively short trip (it would not be).Eventually stumbling into trouble and an invitation to meet the scions of the seventh dawn, deciding to join their cause, being swept away by their curiosity, his journey as the soon to be warrior of light truly begins.- this WoL Intro is based on the version I made for the one minute wols panel at Gateway Fate 2025

Happy All Saints’ Wake!Gateway Fate 2025 WoL sticker
This sticker art is inspired by old Halloween postcard artwork!I wanted to try having it somewhere between the more detailed styles of postcard art and the simpler styles of it. Also wanted to at least somewhat try to mimic the speckled printed texture of the cards, because I do enjoy that sort of look.(Some example postcards below!)Also, yes there is a typo on the backing, I didn’t realize that until way too late… (but you surely get the point regardless) oops…

I <3 candlesExtra Gateway Fate 2025 WoL sticker designAlternative caption: former candlemaker turned black mage warrior of light silliness (it is sincere though, he really does love candles!)This was more quickly drawn than my other main sticker design, and is a more DIY style of sticker in its printing. I had some leftover dollar store sticker paper that can be printed on with a at-home printer, so I decided to make some extra stickers in addition to my main ones.
